Day 24 – Editing Rough Draft

All right, I edited another chapter. While I am incredibly exhausted today, I think I got most of it fixed up. It was a connecting chapter full of foreshadowing for a later event in the first book as well as books 2 and 3. Well mostly book 1 and 2. Either way, re-reading it, I was happy to see how I set a lot of it up. I mean there was still a fair bit to edit, but plot wise, I think it’s okay.

I have fallen away from editing almost every day, but I’m hoping to get back into it again. I only have nine more chapters to do, and I know some of them are going to be pretty long. The climax of the first book is coming up fast and it spans over a number of chapters. If I can, I will be trying to edit that part of the story as close together as possible to prevent any possible disconnect.

Anyway, I have to get going. I have a busy day ahead of me and lots to do still. Hope everyone’s week is going well!

About rachelsparling

I'm a writer working on a manuscript for a novel. I love to write and I've been doing it for 17 years. Through several story ideas I have figured out what works and what doesn't, and I've learned a lot about myself and my writing style. I love to read and escape to many different worlds. I've also learned a lot about good writing and bad writing through both reading a lot and acquiring an education in English literature, and becoming an ESL teacher. I enjoy filming and photographing all sorts of things and putting together short documentaries and videos. I love my camera.
